Hope For Hearts New Zealand launched this past week at the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) Annual Scientific Meeting from the 13TH – 15TH of June, in Wellington.
It was great to have the Edwards Lifesciences team supporting the Hope For Hearts program and facilitating its introduction. A fitting time to introduce the new campaign with the theme of the meeting emphasising “The first 20 and next 10 years of the Millennium,” reflecting on the most recent advancements, the latest developments and new things on the horizon.
Starting with Aortic Stenosis, the Hope For Hearts program aims to increase awareness of all forms of heart conditions which may affect many New Zealanders. The program has a strong focus on educating both medical professionals and patients about cardiac conditions, and building a better connected medical community.
With one in twenty-one adults in New Zealand affected by heart disease1, Hope For Hearts with the support of leading Cardiologists and Cardiothoracic Surgeons throughout New Zealand, strives to increase the awareness and early diagnosis of these potentially life-threatening conditions.
